We can even give kids the impression that we are better than others if we have strong faith, and that we somehow earn God’s love with our actions and prayers. It’s important to emphasize that we are all sinners, saved by grace alone. God loves us and wants to hear from us. Our prayers are a communication with Him, not some sort of speech for the masses. Our faith is given by the Holy Spirit and blesses us only because it makes us reliant on Him.
