Jars of Clay (2 Corinthians 4:5-18) Sunday School Lesson & Activities for Kids PDF
Format š© Instant PDF Download
šø Children Ages 6-12 Years Old
Sometimes our human nature tempts us to emphasize our own role in sharing Godās love or working with others. Itās important to remind children that we can do nothing apart from Godās power. He is the one who makes anything (and everything) possible, and His strength is what we should glorify and share with others.Ā This lesson begins with a lamp to illustrate how essential it is to remain connected and āplugged inā to the Lord. Just as the lamp is a vessel for electricity that must be connected to a power source, we are vessels of the Gospel who must remain close to our power source, Jesus Christ!
Ā All of our strength comes from God, and through Him all things are possible. Jesus empowers us to do all things and gives us life and blessing. The Gospel of His good news is the ātreasureā that we have. As Paul describes treasure in jars of clay, we are the vessels (clay jars) that carry His love to others. The spirit of Jesus lives and works in our lives when we allow Him to!Ā
