Hope in the Fall of Man (Genesis 3:1-15) Sunday School Lesson & Activities for Kids PDF
Format š© Instant PDF Download
šø Children Ages 6-12 Years Old
The Fall of mankind into sin is a rather devastating story, but thereās a glimmer of hope in the midst of it. Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and disobeyed God, and as a result we are born into sin and there is evil in the world. But we know evil doesnāt win in the end! This lesson reminds us that we make mistakes and there are consequences for them, but God restores us and makes us new in Christ Jesus. Even from the beginning, God promised to send a savior who would ābruise the headā of the serpent and set things right again.Ā Ā
The law reminds us that we are sinful, we donāt measure up, and there will be punishment for disobedience. The Fall of Adam and Eve gives us the origin of sin, but also offers an encouraging reminder that we have hope in spite of it. We know that we cannot keep the law, but God sent Jesus to keep the Law for us, and to die for us so that we could have new life! The good news of the Gospel is that Christ came in the midst of sin and gives us restoration. We are born again in Him, and all of the broken things are made new.Ā
